Spantide II is an eleven peptide substance P (SP) analogue and an effective neurokinin-1 receptor (NK-1R) antagonist. It consists of 11 amino acids and contains a significant amount of non natural amino acids. Spantide II binds to NK-1R and blocks pro-inflammatory activity associated with SP. Spantide II can be used for research on inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis and contact dermatitis.
