This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 37.4 kDa. The protein migrates as 45-55 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

背景（Background）

脊髓灰質(zhì)炎病毒受體相關(guān)2（PVRL2）也被稱為連接蛋白2和CD112（以前是皰疹病毒進(jìn)入介體B，HVEB），它是一種人類質(zhì)膜糖蛋白。PVRL2是粘附分子連接的質(zhì)膜成分之一。PVRL2也是單純皰疹病毒和偽狂犬病病毒某些突變株的入口，它參與了這些病毒的細(xì)胞間傳播。PVRL2基因的變異與多發(fā)性硬化癥嚴(yán)重程度的差異有關(guān)。此外，PVRL2與TIGIT的親和力較低。此外，PVRL2作為單純皰疹病毒1型（HHV-1）突變體Rid1、單純皰疹病毒2型（HHV-2）和偽狂犬病病毒（PRV）的受體。
