TDP-43是一種分子量為43KDa的反式反應（TAR）-D結(jié)合蛋白，由位于1號染色體上的TARDBP基因編碼。它是一種R/D結(jié)合蛋白，在結(jié)構上類似于典型的hnRNP蛋白家族成員。參與轉(zhuǎn)錄調(diào)控和R加工。它與散發(fā)性和家族性肌萎縮側(cè)索硬化癥和額顳葉變性有關。TDP-43主要是核的，但在病理條件下會轉(zhuǎn)移到細胞質(zhì)中。TDP-43蛋白病的主要標志是細胞質(zhì)積累、磷酸化、泛素化和截斷。
