背景（Background）

白細(xì)胞介素5（IL-5）是由2型T輔助細(xì)胞和肥大細(xì)胞產(chǎn)生的白細(xì)胞介蛋白。IL-5是一種長115個氨基酸（在人類中為133個氨基酸）的TH2細(xì)胞因子，是造血家族的一部分。與該細(xì)胞因子家族的其他成員（即白細(xì)胞介素3和GM-CSF）不同，這種活性形式的糖蛋白是同二聚體。白細(xì)胞介素-5長期以來與包括過敏性鼻炎和哮喘在內(nèi)的幾種過敏性疾病的病因有關(guān)，其中觀察到循環(huán)、氣道組織和誘導(dǎo)痰嗜酸性粒細(xì)胞的數(shù)量大幅增加。鑒于嗜酸性粒細(xì)胞的高度一致性，特別是過敏性哮喘的病理學(xué)，人們普遍推測嗜酸性粒血球在這種疾病的病理學(xué)中起著重要作用。靶向IL-5的藥物是美珠單抗和瑞珠單抗。
