This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 41.5 kDa. The protein migrates as 47-54 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

背景（Background）

T細(xì)胞表面糖蛋白CD4也稱為T細(xì)胞表面抗原T4/Leu-3。CD4包含三個(gè)Ig樣C2型（免疫球蛋白樣）結(jié)構(gòu)域和一個(gè)Ig樣V型（免疫蛋白樣）功能域。CD4是MHC II類抗原/T細(xì)胞受體相互作用的輔助蛋白。CD4誘導(dǎo)脂筏聚集。CD4是HIV-1用于進(jìn)入宿主T細(xì)胞的主要受體。HIV感染導(dǎo)致具有CD4受體的T細(xì)胞數(shù)量逐漸減少。因此，醫(yī)療專業(yè)人員參考CD4計(jì)數(shù)來(lái)決定何時(shí)開(kāi)始治療HIV感染患者。
