Vasonatrin Peptide (VNP) is a chimeric peptide of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) and C-type natriuretic peptide (CNP), with a sequence containing 27 amino acids. Vasonatrin Peptide has the venous dilation effect of CNP, the diuretic effect of ANP, and a unique arterial vasodilation effect unrelated to ANP or CNP. Vasonatrin Peptide inhibits the protective effect of endoplasmic reticulum stress on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in diabetes through cGMP PKG signaling pathway.
