Proteasome activating peptide 1 TFA is a straight chain peptide composed of 13 amino acids and an effective proteasome activator. Proteasome activating peptide 1 TFA can increase the catalytic activity of chymotrypsin like proteasomes, thereby improving protein hydrolysis rates in vitro and in culture. Proteasome activating peptide 1 TFA can prevent protein aggregation in a cell model of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
