熔點(diǎn): 198-201°C不溶于水，溶于乙醇，乙酸乙酯等有機(jī)溶劑。有高和低兩種類型。高熔點(diǎn)型為針狀結(jié)晶。溶于熱水、乙醇和苯，不溶于石油英。熔點(diǎn)198～199℃。低熔點(diǎn)型為片狀或針狀結(jié)晶。極易溶于乙醇、乙醚、二硫化碳和氯仿。與稀鹽酸煮沸，能轉(zhuǎn)成高熔點(diǎn)型。熔點(diǎn)75～76℃。
制備方法: 由2,4-二甲基苯甲醛與丙二酸反應(yīng)而得2,4-二甲基肉桂酸
