Cecropins B is an antibacterial peptide extracted from insects, which is a straight chain peptide composed of 35 amino acids. It belongs to a broad-spectrum antibacterial peptide, and has advantages such as good thermal stability and good water solubility. More importantly, the antibacterial peptide has almost no effect on eukaryotic cells, only acting on prokaryotic cells and pathological eukaryotic cells. It can be called the most active antibacterial peptide among known natural antibacterial peptides. Cecropins B is composed of 35 amino acids, with a large amount of basic amino acid lysine in its sequence. During peptide synthesis, the presence of lysine will increase the water solubility of the peptide, facilitating subsequent separation and purification.
