Dabcyl-YVADAPV-EDANS is a fluorescent substrate peptide of caspase-1, containing 7 amino acids and a pair of good fluorescent quenching substances in its sequence. After being digested by caspase-1, EDANS is released at the Ala-Ser site after being digested by caspase-1, and the fluorescence therein can be used to quantify caspase-1 activity.
