c(RGDfV) is an effective cell adhesion inhibitor, a cyclic peptide composed of five amino acids, which can inhibit the adhesion of tumor cells to laminin and vitonectin substrates. The study in rats provides the first evidence of its effectiveness in improving ischemic acute renal failure. c(RGDfV)also inhibits renal tubular obstruction by preventing intercellular adhesion, and experiments show that cyclic peptide c(RGDfV) can also be used to prevent retinal neovascularization; Secondly,c(RGDfV) can also bind to avb3 receptor.
