S-Methylisothiourea sulfate is a potent, selective and competitive inhibitor of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS). S-Methylisothiourea sulfate exerts beneficial effects in rodent models of septic shock[1].

S-甲基異硫脲硫酸鹽 (100 nM-100 μM) 對(duì) J774.2 巨噬細(xì)胞和大鼠主動(dòng)脈血管平滑肌細(xì)胞中 LPS (μg/mL) 誘導(dǎo)的亞硝酸鹽生成具有抑制作用[1]。
S-甲基異硫脲硫酸鹽 (高達(dá) 1 mM) 不抑制黃嘌呤氧化酶、心肌黃酶、乳酸脫氫酶、單胺氧化酶、過(guò)氧化氫酶、細(xì)胞色素 P450 或超氧化物歧化酶的活性[1]。

S-Methylisothiourea suLfate (0.01-3 mg/kg；靜脈注射) 劑量依賴性地逆轉(zhuǎn)麻醉大鼠中由內(nèi)毒素 LPS 引起的低血壓和血管對(duì)血管收縮劑的低反應(yīng)性[1]。
S-甲基異硫脲硫酸鹽 (5 mg/kg；腹腔注射；LPS 后 2 小時(shí)給予；10 mg/kg；腹腔注射) 減弱血漿丙氨酸和天冬氨酸氨基轉(zhuǎn)移酶、膽紅素和肌酐的升高，并且在給予 LPS 后 6 小時(shí)測(cè)量時(shí)還可以防止低鈣血癥[1]。
S-甲基異硫脲硫酸鹽 (1 mg/kg；腹腔注射) 提高經(jīng)高劑量 LPS (60 mg/kg；腹腔注射) 處理的小鼠的 24 小時(shí)存活率[1]。
