Extracted twice with 200 ml of ethyl acetate, dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate and concentrated under reduced pressure to give a reddish brown solid. The solid was added to 30 ml of t-butyl methyl ether, stirred for 2 h. A yellowish solid, i.e. 9-azoindole-5-boronic acid (compound vi), was filtered off and weighed 11.8 g in a yield of 72.0percent. |
