After cooling down, the mixture was poured into water (50 mL) and extracted with ethyl acetate (3× 15 mL). The extracts were combined and washed with hydrochloric acid (2 × 10 mL) and brine, successively. The organic phase was dried over anhydrous Na2SO4. After solvent removal, the residue was further purified by recrystallization from ethanol to afford the title compound 12(a-c) as a solid. |
