Sulbactam sodium is a parenterally-active, β-lactamase inhibitor recently introduced as a 1: 1 combination product with cefoperazone. Like clavulanic acid, the first agent of this type to b e introduced, sulbactam enhances the effectiveness of β-lactam antibiotics against resistant strains.

Mainly used to treat respiratory system, urinary system, skin and soft tissue, bone and joint infection, abdominal infection and sepsis
1. A single application is effective for peripheral infection of Neisseria Gonorrhoeae and meningococci.
2. Combined treatment with ampicillin or cefoperazone for the respiratory tract, urinary tract, obstetrical and gynecology, intraperitoneal cavity, skin and soft tissue, ophthalmology, otolaryngology and bone joint infection caused by sensitive bacteria, septicemia, meningitis, etc.
