Description: Norfloxacin HCl, is a broad-spectrum antibacterial and anti-inflammatory drug used for the treatment of respiratory tract, urinary tract infections, gonorrhea, prostatitis, intestinal infections, and typhoid fever and other Salmonella infections caused by sensitive bacteria, with strong bactericidal effect on Mycoplasma and most Gram-negative bacteria (such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, etc.), and also on Gram-positive coccobacilli (e.g., Pseudomonas aureus). Norfloxacin hydrochloride is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, which is now used as a new generation of antibiotics for silkworms.
