Product Description

Glyceryl monostearate is prepared by esterification of C16-C18 long-chain fatty acids with glycerol. It is a non-ionic surfactant. It has both hydrophilic and lipophilic genes, and has various functions such as wetting, emulsifying, and foaming. The first grade of this product is a milky white waxy solid, soluble in ethanol and ether.

Application

1. Monoglycerides are mainly used as food additives in the food industry
2. In cosmetics, it is indispensable for the production of cream products. It is used as an emulsifier and thickener in the formulations of body butter, vanishing cream, hair cream, shampoo, etc. Make the paste fine and smooth.
3. It can also be used as a thickener for pharmaceutical emulsifiers and ointments
4. It can be used as lubricant and antistatic agent in plastic processing, and can be used as defoamer, dispersant, thickener, wetting agent, etc. in other aspects.

Stability
If stored in warm conditions, glycerol monostearate will cause an increase in acid value due to the saponification of trace amounts of water and esters. Effective antioxidants such as BHT and propyl gallate can be added.

Packing: Glyceryl monostearate is packed in woven bags, each bag weighs 25KG.

Storage: Glyceryl monostearate should be stored in a dark, clean, cool, dry place and sealed.
