Product Description:
Enfuvirtide acetate was approved by the US FDA in 2003, and it is used in combination with other anti-HIV drugs in the treatment of HIV infection. Enfuvirtide is a new type of antiretroviral drug, and it has been the pioneer of anti-AIDS treatment drugs in the past seven years. Enfuvirtide mimics the HR2 domain and is a 36 amino acid polypeptide derived from HIV-1 gp41 protein. It is a selective and effective inhibitor of HIV-1 fusion and infection. It can bind to the HR1 trimer helix and prevent HR1- Formation of HR2 six-helix bundles, thus preventing fusion of viral particles with host cells.
