Additionally, it markedly diminishes glucose fluctuations during the oral glucose tolerance test, indicating improved glycemic control. The treatment also maintains elevated insulin levels while reducing excessive glucagon levels and glucagon-like peptide-1 secretion, primarily in the fasting state.
