Methoxypolyethylene glycols nature:

Polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether is a derivative of polyethylene glycol. It is soluble in water, ethanol and most highly polar organic solvents. It is less volatile than glycerin. It has stable chemical properties, is not easy to hydrolyze and destroy, and has strong hydrophilicity. It is used as thickener and lubricant in textile printing and dyeing industry and daily chemical industry. In building materials industry, it is used as raw material of cement water reducer and reinforcing agent. The polycarboxylate superplasticizer synthesized by using this raw material has strong dispersibility retention ability of cement particles, so that the product has the advantages of low dosage, high water reducing rate, good reinforcement effect, durability, no corrosion of steel bars and environmental friendliness. It can be used in commercial concrete with high performance and high strength (above C60) mixed on site and transported in a long distance.

Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is a polymer of ethylene oxide hydrolysate, which is non-toxic and non irritating. It is widely used in various pharmaceutical preparations. The toxicity of low molecular weight polyethylene glycol is relatively high, and the toxicity of glycol is relatively low. Local application of polyethylene glycol, especially mucosal administration, can cause irritating pain. In the lotion for external use, this product can increase the flexibility of the skin and has a moisturizing effect similar to glycerin. Large dose of polyethylene glycol can cause diarrhea. In the injection, the maximum concentration of polyethylene glycol 300 is about 30% (V / V), and hemolysis occurs when the concentration is more than 40% (V / V).
