What is SR9011?
 
SR9011 is a trifunctional methacrylate monomer that provides exceptional adhesion to metal substrates. Recommended for use in peroxide cured coatings, sealants, and PCV-based plastisols. Performance properties include: good adhesion, good chemical resistance, good hardness, good heat resistance and high abrasion resistance.
 
Biological Activity: 
SR9011 is a potent and specific synthetic REV-ERB agonist that binds to REV-ERB-α with an EC50 ~790 nM and REV-ERB-β with EC50 ~560 nM. It also has good in vivo plasma/brain exposure. The nuclear receptors REV-ERB-α and REV-ERB-β play an integral role in regulating the expression of core clock proteins, driving meters in activity and metabolism.

Administration of SR9011 alters circadian behavior and the circadian pattern of core clock gene expression in the hypothalami of mice. The circadian expression pattern of an array of metabolic genes in the liver, skeletal muscle and adipose tissue was also altered, resulting in increased energy expenditure. Treatment of diet-induced obese mice with SR9011 decreased obesity by reducing fat mass and markedly improved dyslipidaemia and hyperglycaemia. These results indicate that synthetic REV-ERB ligands that pharmacologically target the circadian meter may be beneficial in the treatment of sleep disorders as well as metabolic diseases.
 
How to Use:
 
In vitro: SR9011 was used at 5-10 μM concentration in vitro and in cellular assays.
In vivo: IP administration of SR9011 was used at 100 mg/kg once or twice per day for 12-30 days in different mouse models.

Why do we need to use SARM ?

In general, SARMs offer three key benefits - increased muscle mass, decreased fat mass, and increased bone mass.

SARM aren't just designed and meant for athletes; as previously discussed there are a slew of populations that could benefit from SARMs. 
Those with one or more of the following conditions could benefit from SARMs: muscle wasting disorders (such as : sarcopenia, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and cystic fibrosis), sports injuries, burn injuries, weakness and/or body wasting due to cancer or HIV, and frailty and/or muscle atrophy as a result of the aging process.

Although there are many drugs designed to improve the health of these populations, SARMs also have the unique benefit of being non-methylated and non-aromatized by the body, so they're not toxic to the liver nor do they convert in to other active androgen or estrogen compounds. Liver toxicity and aromatization is a very serious concern when using pro-hormones and AASs. As you can see, SARMs benefit both chronically ill individuals as well healthy individuals looking to maximize quality of life.

Furthermore, SARM have demonstrated the ability to minimize or prevent muscle trophy when muscles were immobilized in casts. This is great news for athletes who work hard on the field and in the weight room to build muscle mass, strength, and power as SARM may positively impact the recovery process.
