| Color Developing Agent CD-3 Usage And Synthesis |
Chemical Properties | white to light gray crystalline powder or crystals | Uses | Color developing agent CD-3, also known as N4-Ethyl-N4-(2-methanesulfonamidoethyl)-2-methyl-1,4-phenylenediamine sesquisulfate monohydrate, can be used as a chemical raw material in the synthesis of chemicals and industrial production. As an important photographic chemical, it can be used for the development of color photo paper. It also can be used for oil-soluble color reversal films. In 2000, using CD-3 as an example, the clean-up and recycling photo-finishing and photo-developing washwaters of synthetic zeolites NaY and NH4Y were studied. Fast and almost complete absorption of CD-3 by natural zeolite is found in aqueous solutions at low CD-3 concentrations[1]. | References | [1] Vlessidis A, et al.
