Aminoferrocene, Fe{(η5-C5H4NH2)(η5-Cp)} is an electron-rich amine molecule with a redox-responsive metallocene backbone. In particular, it is a valuable precursor in synthesizing prodrug candidates for anticancers and an important electron source in photosynthetic model systems. The use of this amine in preparing NLO material is limited because of its insufficient chemical stability[1].
