Pharmaceutic
aid (vehicle, flavored); pharmaceutic F110aid (vehicle, sweetened). | [Definition]
ChEBI: Arsthinol is a member of acetamides and an anilide. | [Manufacturing Process]
0.1 mol of 4-hydroxy-3-acetylaminophenyl-arsenoxide is suspended in 50
times its weight of water, and to the suspension 3 mols of sodium carbonate
and 11 ml (110 mmols) of 2,3-dimercaptopropanol are added with rapid
stirringfor 60 min. The resulting precipitate is filtered off, washed with water
and dried in vacuo.
So the N-[2-hydroxy-5-[4-(hydroxymethyl)-1,3,2-dithiarsolan-2-yl]phenyl]
acetamide, melting point 163°-166°C is obtained. | [Therapeutic Function]
